NetBranch and Bill Payer
NetBranch - Bank on Your Time with Carolinas Telco
With convenient access, 24 hours a day, you can monitor your account at all times. Simply login using your Member Number (or cusomized LoginID if you've already created one) on the NetBranch Login Box at the top of every page - you'll then be transitioned to our online banking site for you to enter your Password. Here are some of the advantages of NetBranch Account Access:
Your home page shows your list of accounts, plus some new features. All of your current services are available through the site, so you will have access to Bill Payer, E-Statements, Credit Cards, and Cross-Member Transfers.
You also now have the option of changing to a unique Login ID, instead of using your Member Number. To change your Login ID once the new site is live, you'll go to User Profile, then User Preferences. The Login ID must be unique and contain numbers and letters, so if you change it, you will not be able to use the Member Number to login in the future.
The home page is customizable so that you can give yourself quick access to the activities that matter most. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, try the Services tab. Also, if you’ve never used NetBranch, the new site allows you to enroll online using the “Enroll Today” link.

There are many great features of our Bill Payer service:

How does Bill Payer work?
When you pay your bills with Bill Payer, the days of using your last check and running out of postage stamps are over. You receive bills the way you always have, to maintain the right to verify the amount you have been billed is correct, then you log in to Bill Payer to make your payment.
Electronic vs Paper Checks
We attempt to send every payment electronically, but if the payee does not accept electronic transactions, a paper check will be mailed in its place. Currently, about 74% of payments are processed electronically. But, note that paper payments include checks to individuals and small businesses, so most of your payments to large businesses and utilities, should process electronically. Also, in order for a payment to go electronically, the payee's data must be exact, so be careful to enter the correct account number and payee address.
There are several reasons why some payments go by paper check:
To err on the side of caution: the credit union requests that Telco Bill Payer users schedule bills for payment a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the bill’s due date to ensure they are received in time.
When you schedule a payment, that date you enter will be the date the transaction begins processing. Do not enter your payment's due date, but enter a date that is at least five business days early. Remember to account for weekends and Holidays.
After it is scheduled, the funds will not actually withdraw from your account until the second business day. When the payment has processed, you can review it's status in your Payment History, where you can view if the payment went electronically, or see a copy of a check when it clears if it went as paper.
Payments to Carolinas Telco FCU
If you are making a loan or credit card payment to a Carolinas Telco FCU account, you can simply make the payment as a transfer through NetBranch Account Access, which is a transfer that posts within one business day.
Note: Other account-related fees, such as for Stop Payments and NSFs, will still apply as appropriate. If you do not schedule a Bill Payment within a 6 month period, we may close the Bill Payer account. However, if you wish to re-open it, we will do so at no charge.
It is easy to enroll in E-Statements and take advantage of its security - and cost savings to the credit union! It is a free service, and we maintain an archive of the previous 27 months of statements. You can save them to your computer or print them if you wish to retain them for a longer period. It is also more environmentally friendly by less paper and mail being sent to our members. Finally, it is a secure method of receiving your statements, compared to delivery to your home mailbox. Online Banking Security
Accounts with Online Banking: Telco NetBranch employs industry leading security features to ensure that all of your transactions are conducted with the highest possible privacy and protection. All data is encrypted using 128-bit encryption, the current industry standard, and transferred via the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol between you and your Credit Union. NetBranch also offers the option of creating a unique Login ID, so that you can discontinue using your Member Number to login. We recommend periodically assessing your personal online banking risk, such as restricting disclosure of your password to only joint account holders and refraining from writing your login information down in proximity to your computer. If you have a business, be sure you are aware of who has access to your accounts online and take extra due diligence to review account activity.
Mobile Banking Security: Carolinas Telco’s Mobile Web and Apps are secure, using 128-bit encryption that masks your sensitive information. A password is required each time you log on and your NetBranch private “picture and pass phrase” are displayed to protect against “phishing.” You should always maintain security of your phone, including using a Password to access your phone. Be aware of apps that you download and make sure they are apps that you trust. Downloading apps of unknown or suspect origin could compromise your online banking credentials, or any password-protected app or web site you visit. Take caution using your device at all times.
